Sun Safety for Children
When the weather is warm, and the sun is shining brightly, children love to spend time outdoors, playing and splashing in the pool. But spending prolonged amounts of time exposed to harmful UV sun rays can damage their delicate skin. The following paragraphs will discuss SPF clothing, as well as some sun safety tips, for keeping your children safe in the sun.
First, in order to protect your child's sensitive skin from prolonged exposure to harmful UV sun rays, you should avoid allowing them to remain in the sun for prolonged periods of time when the sun is at his highest point (usually between the hours of 10 AM and 2 PM) without wearing sun protection clothing of some sort. The most effective way to protect your child's skin from sun damage is to insist they wear sun protection clothes of some type when playing outside or swimming.
